Named after the local Buttes, Powell Butte is a fairly upscale ranch style community known for its stunning scenic landscapes in Crook County, Oregon. It is on Oregon Route 126 west of Prineville and east of Redmond and is home to the Brasada Ranch Resort.  The community is a favorite local for hikers, trail bikers, and horse enthusiasts, the Weather in Powell Butte averages a high temperature in July of 85.6 degrees, with an average low temperature in January of 23.1 degrees. The average rainfall is approximately 11.9 inches per year, with 15.7 inches of snow per year.
