Bend

Bend is a growing city of approximately 100,000 residents located on the Deschutes River, in central Oregon. An outdoor lovers paradise and resort community, the city is a mix of forest and high desert landscapes.  To the west of Bend, are the lakes and peaks of the Cascade Mountains, with ski resorts and multi-use trails. In town, you will find one of the most popular hiking trails leading up to a scenic view a top Pilot Butte, an extinct volcano. Bend is also know for its many championship golf courses, such as Broken Top, Tetherow, Widgi Creek and Aubrey Glen.  To the South, you will find the High Desert Museum which showcases the local environment, with history and live wildlife exhibits. The city hosts the annual Bend Film Festival and boasts a vibrant Arts and Entertainment culture as well as being renowned for its food, beer, cider, and spirits. Bend Weather averages a high temperature in July of 81.5 degrees, with an average low temperature in January of 24.2 degrees. The average rainfall is approximately 12.3 inches per year, with 22.5 inches of snow per year.   Bend is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States.
